The International Festival "Carol Pop de Szathmári - Szathmári Pap Károly" organized by the International Association "Euro Photo Art" (AIEFA) under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), recognized by UNESCO, with the support of Summit Agro Romania, - launched on of January 15, 2023, within the framework of the National Culture Day, - offers the possibility of organizing representative exhibitions of photographic art in several cities of Romania and across the country's borders. In this context, in the gallery of the "Békés" County Library in Bichișciaba (HU), on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., in the presence of the author, the jubilee exhibition of Oradean photographer artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, entitled Momente surprinse*, will be opened. The exhibition was opened for the first time on August 8, 2021 in the "Zion" Synagogue in Oradea, on the occasion of the anniversary of 70 years of life and 50 years of artistic activity, which became popular and presented in several cities in Romania, Ukraine and Hungary. In this context, the exhibition has been opened until now in: Berettyóújfalu, Budapest, Giula (HU), Bucharest and Carei (RO), respectively Ujhorod (UA). The exhibition is organized by AIEFA in partnership with the "Nadány Zoltán" House of Culture from Berettyóújfalu (HU) and APTOR with the support of Summit Agro Romania and includes 50 black and white photographs taken of the localities that defined the personality of the Hungarian poet, literary critic and politician Kölcsey Ferenc. During the exhibition, Fórián Andrea was also invited to exhibit, who presents 4 photographs alongside the well-known artist photographer from Oradea. The head of the House of Culture in Berettyóújfalu Mrs. Lisztes Éva will participate in the event and speak. Viola artist Thurzó Sándor József, will perform several pieces from the Hungarian repertoire and Fórián Andrea, will recite several creations of Hungarian poets. In continuation of the events dedicated to the Day of Hungarian Culture, on Sunday two personal exhibitions of the artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP,ESFIAP will be opened at the same time, at 15:00. The first exhibition entitled The Message from Seuca*** will be opened at the Reformed Church in Seuca, the birthplace of Kölcsey Ferenc, and includes 20 large photographs taken in 2022 and first opened at Casa Partium in Debrețin (HU) in last. Since the author of the exhibition will not be able to participate in the event, the message of the well-known photographer from Oradea will be read during the opening. On this occasion, a selection of 40 photographs will be exhibited from the works of the graduates of the online course of photographic technique and art in the Carpathian Basin, organized in 2021 by AIEFA in partnership with the Carpathian Basin Institute based in Seghedin (HU) under the direction of the artist Oradean photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP. "TOWERS OF BUILDINGS FROM ORADEA"

 

The Foundation for the Protection of Historical Monuments from Bihor County (FPMIJB) and the "Euro Photo Art" International Association (AIEFA) have decided to diversify the themes of the exhibitions organized in the Oradea City Hall Tower. In the future, the exhibitions will be made up of the most valuable images accepted and awarded in the contests announced in advance, in which any amateur or professional photographer can participate. The most valuable works will be rewarded with a prize of 400 lei, respectively with various Mezey Lajos plaques (the first Oradean photographer). In this context, the rules of the competition organized with the support of Summit Agro Romania were announced and published in the middle of August 2022. For the competition, the organizers received 102 images taken by amateur photographers from Budureasa (BH), Cluj Napoca, Constanța, Mizieș (BH), Oradea, Salonta (BH), Sântandrei (BH) and Vadu Crișului (BH). A jury consisting of Larisa Birta (Oradea City Hall), Angela Lupșea (FPMIJB) and the photographer artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, accepted for exhibition 39 black and white and color photographs, taken by: Bulzan Andrei, Copoș Casian- Lucian, Costea Maria, Demeter Constantin Liviu, Durduman Burtescu Tudor, Grava Bianca-Adelina, Filip Raul Adrian, Kenéz Emese, Marton Monica, Ilies Maria, Iștoc Marius, Nagy Nándor, Niță Alexandra-Ioana, Oraș Adrian, Oros Claudiu, Savciuc Alexandru , Silaghi Sergiu, Suciu Eduard and Şaramet Izabella Ioana. Among the works accepted, the jury awarded the first prize (400 lei in money) to the competitor Demeter Constantin Liviu from Oradea. Considering the special artistic level of the accepted images, the jury decided to award 2 Mezey Lajos plaques (the first photographer from Oradea) to the competitor Nagy Nándor from Oradea, respectively to Filip Raul Adrian from Vadu Crișului. The opening of the exhibition and the presentation of prizes will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 17:00 in the hall of the Tower, to which all competitors will be invited to participate. In continuation of the cycle of summer exhibitions of photographic art, the "Ștefan Vilidár István" Gallery, EFA Exhibition Center Oradea - Romania within the Princely Palace of the Oradea Medieval Citadel (Building C, first floor) managed by the "Nufărul" Photographic Club Oradea (CFNO) will host, starting on August 30, 2022, the personal exhibition of the renowned photographer artist Cătălin Vezetiu from Râmnicu Vâlcea. The exhibition entitled "Mirage, between night and day" is organized in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Surroundings (APTOR) and with the support of Summi Agro Romania and is made up of 50 black and white and color photos of real artistic value that it includes several special genres of photographic art: landscape, wildlife (wild life) and astrophotography."The passion for photographic art began in 2014 when my wife gave me a camera. I was disappointed with the first photo, which is why I specialized in photographic art through courses and workshops," states Cătălin Vezetiu. Due to his personal consistency, his photos began to be appreciated, which is why he decided to join the "Floarea de Colț" Photoclub from Râmnicu Vâlcea (a partner organization of the "Euro Photo Art" International Association) and become a member of the Photographers' Artists Association from Romania (AAFR). Until now, he has held personal exhibitions, the most famous being the one dedicated to the Centenary of the Great Union, "My Romania", in which he exhibited 25 of his own photographs. In Oradea he presents his personal exhibition for the first time. He also participated in group exhibitions, both in the country and abroad, including those organized by AIEFA. His soul project is the collaboration with the painter Sorina Lambrino from Ploiești, with whom he made two exhibitions of photography and painting in Ploiești and Râmnicu Vâlcea. "Photography for me has become a part of me, a lifestyle, it defines me and is part of me. A passion that excites me every time I pick up the camera to shoot, because it always allows me to do as I feel. The success of a photograph depends on the combination of strong emotional experience and physical effort," says the exhibiting photographer artist. The opening of the exhibition will take place in the presence of the author on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., to which the organizers invite all photography lovers to participate. Although we are in the middle of the summer season, the "Ștefan Vilidár István" Gallery, EFA Oradea - Romania Exhibition Center in the Princely Palace of the Oradea Medieval Citadel (Building C, first floor) managed by the "Nufărul" Photographic Club Oradea (CFNO) will host from on August 11, 2022, the personal exhibition of Oradean photographer Adrian Drăgan. The exhibition organized in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Surroundings (APTOR) and with the support of Summi Angro Romania is made up of 50 black and white and color photographs that include several genres of photographic art: essays, portraits, landscapes, socio- photos, traditions and folk customs. The author of the exhibition, Adrian Drăgan, was born in 1983 and in 2017 he graduated from the photographic technique and art course organized by the Photographic Club "Nufărul" from Oradea (CFNO) led by the artist Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP president of the International Association "Euro Photo Art" (AIEFA) and CFNO. After finishing the course, he becomes a creative member of AIEFA. With his works he participated in a series of national and international projects organized by AIEFA. "For me photography means a challenge to present the people around us as I see them through the lens of the camera. It is also a concern that gives me a lot of sentimental satisfaction. This personal exhibition is a culmination of the efforts made to create these images, which are so close to my soul" states the exhibiting photographer artist. PHOTO MARATHON IN HUNGARY

 

As a pre-event to the 10th edition of Saint Ladislaus’ Days,Euro Foto Art International Association (AIEFA), in partnership with Szent László Association Oradea, are hosting a photographic marathon for photo artists of the neighbouring country. The marathon includes 3 exhibitions of high artistic value, organized under the auspices of the The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), recognized by UNESCO.

 

The event will open on Friday, 16 June, at 6 PM, at the "Ştefan Vilidár István” Gallery in the Princely Palace of the Fortress of Oradea (C building, 1st floor). In this gallery, Budapest photographer Bereki Anikó’s personal exhibition will be opened, entitled My Balaton is Our Balaton. The exhibition features 50 artistic photographs of the beautiful lake Balaton in Hungary, taken throughout the four seasons of the year. The artist is also an editor of Hungary’s Radio Kossuth. “I have lived near Lake Balaton, in Zamárdi, for 25 years. I used to love going down to the shore in autumn and winter, but also in the spring, when the snow was melting. In the summer, I prefer the angry, stormy Balaton. The colours of the lake seem mesmerizing to me, I can’t get enough of them. I have selected the images exhibited now from the “crop” of the past 20 years. I hope everybody will find at least one of them that they like! If this happens, then this exhibition will not have been in vain” - the artist declares. The exhibition has already been opened in several galleries in Europe, such as Lendava (Slovenia), Bratislava (Slovakia) as well as Siófok, Budapest, Zamárdi and Balatonszemes (Hungary). Oradea is the first city in Romania where it has travelled. The audience present at the opening will be greeted by the exhibition’s curator, Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, president of AIEFA. The exhibition will be officially opened by Zatykó Gyula, manager of the festival entitled Saint Ladislaus’ Days. The opening will include a cultural program presented by the group Duo Sola Fide. During the opening, speeches will be made by the presidents of the two organizations, Máthé András of Debrecen, as well as Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP. Artist Thurzó Sándor József will play Hungarian musical pieces on the viola. The third exhibition is an individual one by cultural anthropologist and Reformed pastor dr. Nagy Károly Zsolt from Sárospatak (HU), organized in partnership with the Foundation for the Protection of Historic Monuments in Bihor County. The opening will take place at the Zion Synagogue in Oradea, on Saturday, 25 June 2022, in the presence of the author, his family, and Duo Sola Fide Cultural Group.The exhibition entitled “...since we have lost you...” - Images from the House of the Living features 80 black and white photographs of high artistic value taken in the Jewish Cemetery of Salgótarján street in Budapest. “The photographs exhibited in the gallery give the illusion of walking through the Salgótarján street cemetery, only stopping to take in the message of each photograph taken from my point of view. The diversity of the past fossilized into the present, the knowledge of spiritual values received from famous Jewish personalities who lie here, religion, culture, architecture – these are the constituents of the message of my exhibition” - the artist declares. The audience present at the opening will be greeted by the exhibition’s curator, Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP, president of AIEFA, as well as member Fórián Andrea.  The exhibition will be presented by writer Visky András from Cluj Napoca and officially opened by Zatykó Gyula, manager of the festival entitled Saint Ladislaus’ Days. BIATORBÁGY PHOTOCLUB MEMBER EXHIBITION (HU)

 

It has become a tradition for the International Association "Euro Foto Art" (AIEFA) to organize in partnership with the Museum of the Land of Crișuri - Museum Complex, through the section of the Museum of Oradea, and with the support of Summit Agro Romania, under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art UNESCO), exhibitions of the work of the 52 AIEFA Partner Organizations in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In this context, 72 monocolor and color photographs, made by the members of the “Biatorbágy” Photoclub (HU), will be installed on the walls of the longest-lived permanent photographic art gallery in Romania: Bozzai Attila, Csörögi Dóra, Frindt Péter, Jandó Zsuzsa, Kigyós Lajos, Kiss Andrea, Magyar János, Maráczi László, Mátrai Sándor, Pintér Zsuzsanna, Solymos Ákos, Szabolcs Eszter, Szécsényi Zsuzsa and Tonomár Mónika. In 2009 a group of friends were touched by the joy of photography, the following year laying the foundations of an association, in order to turn the hobby concern into consecration. The new association has joined the Hungarian Photoclub Union (MAFOSZ). The works of the members participated with great success both individually in various international competitions, as well as Club collections in those organized under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). In this context, in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2021, the Photoclub's collections won the title of MAFOSZ Organization of the Year, and in 2016 it received the “Karikó János” cultural award from the City of Biatorbágy. In 2020, the collection of the Biatorbágy Photo Club (HU) won the “World Cup of Photo Clubs”, organized by AIEFA. Also, in 2018, the Photoclub's collection obtained the 11th place at the FIAP World Cup. Also with the Chiaroscuro Photo Club in Piove di Sacco (Italy), Sille Sanat Sarayi (Turkey) and Catchlight Camera Club (Northern Ireland) a number of joint photo projects were organized. Being a Fotoclub collection, the theme of the exhibition is varied, being present most of the genres of photographic art: reportage, nature, sports, landscapes, drone images, architecture, portraits, Hungarian and Romanian folk traditions and customs, respectively from Asia, macro photography, underwater and essays. It is to be appreciated that several subjects were photographed in different picturesque places of Romania. "The collection of" Biatorbágy "(HU) photographers can be characterized by a simplicity in approaching the subjects photographed and by the special artistic value of the exhibits". Also, the way of illuminating the images and their message will conquer the visiting public ", states the curator of the exhibition the artist photographer Ștefan Tóth István AFIAP, ESFIAP. During the opening, the special medal of the International Federation of Photographic Art will be awarded to the artist Florinan Chelu Madeva, the founder of the Rock Philharmonic Oradea, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his life. OPENING OF THE EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHER ERDÉLYI OLIVIA (SRB)

 

”Ștefan Vilidár István” Gallery, EFA Exhibition Center Oradea - Romania from the Princely Palace of the Medieval Citadel Oradea (Building C, 1st floor) managed by the Photographic Club “Nufărul” Oradea (CFNO) will host the opening of the exhibition of the photographer Erdély Olivia (SRB) . On this occasion, 50 photographs grouped in several cycles will be exhibited: reports, socio-photographs, static nature and landscapes. The photographer was born in 1984 in Subotica, Vojvodina (SRB), is a road transport technician and lives in Backi-Vinograd. / Királyhalom (SRB). She is a graduate of the online course of technique and photographic art organized by the International Association "Euro Foto Art" (AIEFA) in partnership with the Carpathian Basin Institute in Várpalota (HU). After graduating, he became a member of AIEFA based in Oradea. The works were carried out this year in the region where he lives: only 1 km from the SRB-HU border crossing point, reason to have the opportunity to make a special cycle of photographic point of view about migrants but unusual images of animals on the farm where they work. "Art has always been a part of my life. As a way of self-expression, I first used drawing and writing poetry, then I learned the tricks of embroidery and felt and created my own things in this field. I was interested in photography from the age of 16, but I didn't have the opportunity to buy a camera, which is why I borrowed "dark light drawing cameras". For me, the art of photography is one of the most excellent forms of self-expression. Through the images I am given the opportunity to present the world around me and to convey my feelings at the time of the birth of the images ”says the author of the exhibition Erdélyi Olivia. The musical moments will be offered by the representative of the "Duo Varadiensis" Chamber, the artist Thurzó Sándor József (viola) who will perform several Hungarian musical pieces (according to his personal arrangement for viola): "Sein Lied" by Bihari Sándor, "Evening by the fire" by Kodály Zoltán, “Szekler Evening” by Bartók Béla and “Memories” by Dávid Popper. The event will also be attended by students of the High School of Arts in Oradea with a musical program specially prepared for this event. The new exhibition organized in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Tourism in Oradea and Surroundings (APTOR) will remain available to the visiting public until January 4, 2022, daily from 08:00 to 20:00, where public access is free.
